Mansfield Crematorium, also known as Mansfield & District Crematorium, has 2 chapels: the Newstead chapel seating 60 people and Thoresby chapel seating 150. Funeral and memorial services in either chapel can be adapted to suit the religious beliefs or requirements of the person who’s passed away. Both chapels have traditional organs, or if you’d prefer to play other music there’s a media system available too. Video tributes can be played as part of the service and there are stands available for photo images. Please note that if you wish to view the committal of the coffin you must let the crematorium know as soon as possible.
The crematorium offers a variety of options for ashes including burial in one of their cemeteries, placement in a columbarium, and the scattering of ashes in the woodland grounds on site. A variety of different memorials can be chosen too, including bronze kerb plaques, vases and memorial trees.
