West Suffolk Crematorium, also known as Risby crematorium, is privately owned and run by the Westerleigh Group. It’s set in rural Suffolk in 13 acres of countryside. There are 2 chapels to choose from for a service. These are the St Edmund’s Chapel and the Abbey Chapel. St Edmund’s Chapel is traditional with oak pews and a warm atmosphere. It can seat 95 people and has standing room for a further 30 – 40. The Abbey Chapel is more modern, light and airy. It has chairs rather than pews. This chapel seats 60 and has standing room for another 20-30 guests.
There’s a hospitality suite, including the Meadow Café, which has 2 function rooms suitable for funeral wakes.
