Warriston Crematorium - Edinburgh

There are 2 chapels for hire at Warriston Crematorium – the cloister seats 60 people and the Lorimer seats 230. Both chapels offer a 40-minute slot for services, but you can book extra time for an extra fee if it’s available. The chapels can also be adapted to cater to religious or non-religious services. Christian symbols can be removed on request and changed to honour traditions of the Sikh, Hindu or Buddhist community. There is a digital music system available for services and an organist can be provided on request. And the service can be streamed online and/or recorded for people who can’t attend in person. 

After the funeral service you can choose to collect the ashes or to have them scattered on the crematorium grounds. Please note: if you choose to have the ashes scattered then a member of staff will do this, and you won’t be able to attend and the exact location won’t be recorded. If you haven’t made a decision, then the ashes can be stored at the crematorium for a month.
