Thorncliffe Crematorium - Barrow-in-Furness

Thorncliffe Crematorium, also known as Barrow Crematorium, opened in 1962 and had a major refurbishment in 2016. Owned by Westmorland and Furness Council, it’s in the grounds of Barrow Cemetery and has a chapel for funeral services.

The crematorium has burial plots for ashes, as well as memorial options including wall plaques and memorial seats. You’re encouraged to book an appointment before visiting the crematorium office.
