The Garden of England Crematorium, also known as Bobbing crematorium, opened in 2003 and is located near Sittingbourne. It has a chapel that seats up to 100 people and overlooks the wildflower meadow and pond in the memorial gardens. For larger funerals there’s room for another 100 people in the lobby, which has loudspeakers and viewing windows.
The crematorium has books of remembrance that are hand-inscribed by skilled calligraphers. The books are displayed in a dedicated room in the style of a Kentish Oast house that's open 365 days a year. The Garden of England Crematorium has memorial gardens that are full of seasonal colour and include dispersal lawns and water features.
