Pontefract Crematorium

Pontefract Crematorium is owned by Wakefield City Council and is a member of The Federation of British Cremation Authority. They have a chapel that seats 95 people, plus limited standing space for larger funerals. They offer services of 20 or 40 minutes, depending on which you’d prefer.

If you’re looking for a way to commemorate your loved one, you can choose from a range of memorials. These include an entry in the book of remembrance, dedicated trees or rosebushes or a permanent memorial like a plaque or bench. You can also scatter ashes in the gardens or bury them in a cremated remains plot.
