Hemel Hempstead Crematorium opened in September 2023, next to Poppy Fields Cemetery. It has a modern chapel that seats 140 people with extra standing room at the back. Hemel Hempstead Crematorium is set in landscaped gardens of remembrance with areas for scattering ashes and memorial rose bushes available on a 5-year lease. Further memorial options, including memorial benches and a book of remembrance room, are planned in future. The site has plenty of parking, including disabled spaces and 12 charging points for electric cars.
