Chesterfield and District Crematorium, also known as Brimington crematorium or simply 'Chesterfield crematorium', opened in 1959 and is run by the Borough Council. The crematorium has a chapel that has recently been modernised and now seats 100 people. The chapel and crematorium office both have facilities for disabled access including level access, a loop system and signs with notation in braille.
The crematorium’s situated in tranquil grounds next to woodland and countryside areas. There are a range of memorial options, including commemorative trees and bulbs, as well as sanctums and a book of remembrance. There are also 2 areas for scattering ashes.
